San Luis Obispo County
Located just 190 miles south of San Francisco and 190 miles north from Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo County is easily accessible by land and air. Highway 101 and the scenic Pacific Coast Highway 1 traverse the county along the coast and inland region. San Luis Obispo County is home to over 100 wineries. From rolling hills, to scenic lakes and rugged coastline, this county has something for everyone to enjoy! The main cities which are located in the county include:

Transportation:
San Luis Obispo County is easily accessible by land and air, with airports located in both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles.

Air: The San Luis Obispo County airport is served by America West Airlines, American/American Eagle Airlines, Skywest Airlines and United/United Express. Several airline charters are available as well as helicopter service.
- Bus: Greyhound operates 16 regular runs daily, in and out of the county. City and/or countywide transit systems plus charter bus services are available.
- Rail: Amtrak makes daily stops in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Grover Beach.
Attractions/Recreation:
Picturesque San Luis Obispo County boasts two distinct wine regions, with over 100 wineries that attract worldwide notoriety. Situated between the Los Padres National Forest on one side, and the Pacific Ocean on the other, the diverse geography of the area creates specific micro-climates that provide ideal conditions for growing premium wine grapes. The vineyards continue to gain increased recognition for its Syrah, Grenache, and white Rhone varieties.
To the north, in the Paso Robles wine region, the long, hot summers play an important part in producing the high quality fruit that turns specialty grapes into award winning wines. Paso Robles is particularly known for its Zinfandels, Cabernets, and a bountiful crop of smooth Merlots.
Other San Luis Obispo attractions include water sports at Lake Nacimiento, tours of the two historic California Missions, rejuvenating mineral springs in Avila as well as Paso Robles, Hiking and biking trails located throughout many local and state parks, and the yearly California Mid State Fair located in Paso Robles.
